ogni tanto le gibson avevano una doppia etichetta interna (label); succedeva quando uno strumento era curato da un liutaio in particolare, che firmava e datava l'etichetta aggiuntiva.
Sul mercatino ultimamente ho "combinato" una L-4 del '89. Così, sbirciando nella buca ad effe dalla parte dei potenziometri, mentre davo una pulitina, scopro una seconda etichetta che reca la seguente scritta:
"the top, back, tone bars and air-chamber of this instrument were tested, tuned and the assembled instrument tried and approved; october 31/5/1989" e poi la firma di tale James Hutchins.
